Listening to his words while he is working carefully at his work bench working on one of his new creations is thrilling, “You need to go through 52 passages to create a shoe.Each passage is a craft in itself. I have cried, suffered, laughed and rejoiced on these benches. Seeing a shoe take form is still, to this day, an indescribable emotion.”
It is rare to still find such humble people like Doriano who could easily tell us about the many prizes he has won in his career adorning the walls of his workshop. Instead, he simply captivates my attention by describing in careful detail the stages that went into making the shoe in his hands commissioned by a client. In actual fact, he never left his post at the work bench except to let me hear a piece of Brazilian music – another great passion and source of inspiration that he composed himself.

Ascoltare le sue parole mentre minuziosamente lavora a banchetto ad una delle sue creazioni è affascinante : “Per creare una scarpa occorrono 52 passaggi” ci confida ” ed ogni passaggio è un mestiere a se ” . ” Su questi banchetti da lavoro ” continua ” ho pianto, sofferto, riso e gioito… è emozionante ancora oggi, dopo più di trent’anni di attività, vedere realizzata una scarpa ” .
